Hello! I’m Sara Lucas, a terrible runner but luckily quite good at writing, speaking and helping your Mind and Money to play well together in the real world.
Where I came from
I used to be an investment banker and private client adviser. For almost thirty years now I’ve worked all over the world for a bunch of big names, Macquarie and Rothschild amongst them, earning a healthy six-figure income, but while I loved my jobs I was unfulfilled.
The turning point came during 2008/9 when the global economy collapsed and I was working 16-hour days, talking indebted, suicidal bankers off ledges (literally), travelling all over the world for someone else’s deals, had 3 small children at home and was never off my smartphone.
So one day I just stopped
and co-founded a non-profit to support female entrepreneurs because I felt there simply weren’t enough avenues to grow women’s enterprise back then, and the business mix was a bit unbalanced, and inspired by the courage of others, went on to create several businesses of my own.
I sold one business, folded another, but found that all of my interests were in the field of helping women be the best they can be.
Whether we’re talking about having our own income, over marital choices, our fertility or lifestyle choices, we simply want to be able to choose the right outcomes for ourselves and our loved ones, wherever we live in the world and whatever our socio-economic group. Knowledge is power.
Financial Services is like The Hotel California, you can check in but you can never leave
and I’m back at my Sydney city desk, once again a financial adviser. This time I’m working with British people who have seen the light and moved to Australia, but left their super/pensions behind in the UK and would rather like to get their hands on the money. I help them wrangle their options and come up with the best one.
So in effect I help people reach for their goals and dreams by having more money to fund their adventures. Which is pretty cool and sits well with my values.

I help people start and grow their own businesses and more importantly, be the best they can be through a dynamic, smart, online, network marketing business with Arbonne.
Yes, I am a proud, professional network marketer because the business model is simple, totally scaleable and I work it around my full time job.
